John Bartelme is the Founder and Principal of Bartelme & Associates, a member of the Content Evolution global federation of companies.His consultancy specializes in strategic marketing and business planning for small to medium-sized businesses primarily in the food and poultry industries.
     He is CMO emeritus of Perdue Farms, one of the world’s largest poultry companies. Prior to Perdue, John gained considerable experience and expertise developing, marketing, and growing billion-dollar consumer brands for Holly Farms chicken, and Tyson chicken, along with such other nationally known brands as Butterball chicken, California avocados, and L’egg’s pantyhose.
     John has garnered several marketing and advertising accolades in his career…Clio’s, an Effie, Cannes Lion, Ace Metrix, Ad Week’s “Best of Year” and more. Additionally, he is a featured speaker at conferences and conventions around the world, including the 2015 China-U.S. Poultry Industry Summit in Beijing.
     He is a guest lecturer at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, from which he has his MBA. He also guest lectures at NC State University where he received his BS degree in Industrial Engineering. John is also a Leadership Coach for several UNC Business School programs and is a Certified Mentor and Marketing Chair for SCORE, America’s largest network of volunteers that has been helping entrepreneurs and small businesses for more than 50 years.
     John and his wife, Terry, enjoy gardening, food and wine, and international travel, having just returned from a month-long visit to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Qatar. They are also proud grandparents of four granddaughters.
