Wang LianzengPresidentWang LianzengPresidentMr. Wang Lianzeng, Reprsentative of the Thirteenth National People’s Congress, Vice President of China Animal Agriculture Association, and Executive President of National Poultry Industry Association, CAAA is Chairman of Huayu Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. He is also a part-tine professor of Renmin University of China and a Senior Livestock Engineer.
In the 1980s, Mr. Wang started his business career with only two partners, two rooms and two hundred head of hens. For 36 years, he devoted himself to layer breeder farming by focusing on the introduction of advanced scientific technology from home and abroad, first-rate equipment and talents. The advantages of costs, scale of business and technology make his company an industry leading player in China’s layer industry.
With rapid growth of the company under his leadership, Mr. Wang Lianzeng also makes a point of contributing to society. Huayu Agricultural Science and Technology promotes science and technology in rural areas, helps those in distress and help those in peril with technology.
Some of his deeds include road construction and well drilling in underdeveloped areas and earthquake relief work in quake-hit regions in China.

John has garnered several marketing and advertising accolades in his career…Clio’s, an Effie, Cannes Lion, Ace Metrix, Ad Week’s “Best of Year” and more. Additionally, he is a featured speaker at conferences and conventions around the world, including the 2015 China-U.S. Poultry Industry Summit in Beijing.
He is a guest lecturer at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, from which he has his MBA. He also guest lectures at NC State University where he received his BS degree in Industrial Engineering. John is also a Leadership Coach for several UNC Business School programs and is a Certified Mentor and Marketing Chair for SCORE, America’s largest network of volunteers that has been helping entrepreneurs and small businesses for more than 50 years.
John and his wife, Terry, enjoy gardening, food and wine, and international travel, having just returned from a month-long visit to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Qatar. They are also proud grandparents of four granddaughters. -

Dr. Kaeppel holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Science. The major part of his professional career, he spent with McDonald’s. He participated in the development of supply chains in many new markets, and built up Quality Systems and Management in Europe, from the very beginning to a well-established and recognized organization.
Dr. Kaeppel was accountable to the European Management for leadership and alignment of Quality Systems, Food Safety and Nutrition in Europe. This included setting and maintaining standards, specifications, and policies from raw materials to the finished products in the restaurants. Other important areas he covered were legal compliance, as well as handling known and emerging food issues. He is one of the founders of the McDonald’s Agricultural Assurance Programme (MAAP), which includes sustainable farm management practices, animal welfare and environmental requirements.
He represented McDonald’s in industry associations, like the “Sustainable Agricultural Initiative” (SAI Platform), or the “International Forum for TSE and Food Safety” (TAFS), and was a member of GlobalGap’s Board for the Integrated Farm Assurance Standard. -

In 2001, Mr. Feng Bin and his team proposed a “revolution” in the egg industry. He founded Sundaily Ecological Foods in Mianyang with other six people with only20,000 Yuan.
As an entrepreneur with innovative thinking and perspective, Mr. Feng established the business model of“Brand+Standard+Scale”which has become an exemplification for the industry. His exploration of the path of “Internet+Modern Agricultur”made the conventional egg industry prosper through the innovation of products.
In order to promote the long-term and orderly development of China’s layer industry, and improve the management of domestic automated layer farming,Mr. Feng initiated the Jinding Club in which about ten large-scale animal farming companies participated. Till now, the layer stock of all the Jinding Club members has reached more than twenty million head, making the club the most influential one of its kind in China.
As a representative and leader of China modern egg industry, Sundaily Foods guarantees the safety of eggs through its own integrated industry chain, and sets up the international SDL standard system with its level higher than the entire industry. -

His research focuses on the core technology in advanced analytics, optimization and blockchain and their applications in key areas, especially in food safety, supply chain and logistics industry innovations. He has coinvented more than 5 U.S. patents and coauthored more than 10 research articles in leading international conferences and academic journals. He is a member of the editor board of Journal of Business & Management and serves as referees for many prestigious research journals. As a technical leader, he has also been responsible for the delivery of many innovation projects in close collaboration with IBM’s business partners and has won numerous IBM outstanding technical achievement awards.
Dr. Zhang graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and received his Ph.D. Dual Degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He is a member of the engineering honor society - Tau Beta Pi. -

He began his career in an hypermarket retail chain as business analyst and merchandising responsible for the fresh goods department. He then held several marketing positions within French leading companies in beef and poultry markets. In 1995, he joined Cryovac as project manager for Case Ready followed by the responsibility of sales development for South Europe. Later on, he became European Business Manager for fresh proteins. In 2004, he was appointed as Retail Director managing the European Retail Team, in charge of all contacts and projects with leading retail chains. In 2010, Christophe Gottar has taken the position of Strategic Marketing Director for Food solution Europe, in charge of understanding and translating current and future markets needs into business opportunities and developing new packaging solutions .
Since March 2012 , within the new Sealed Air Food Care division, he is now leading the growth of our global poultry sector by developing Innovative packaging solutions and facilitating cross-fertilization across regions .
He is living in Paris and have 4 daughters .

Professor Wang Hongning, a Post Scientist of the National Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System, focus on the research on animal bacterial resistance, and creation of new veterinary drugs. She brought forth the innovative theory that transforms the containing of bacterial diseases from drug prevention and control to biosecurity prevention and control, changing traditional ways that prevented and controlled layer’s bacterial diseases with drugs. Her research achievements have been widely applied in China’s large-scale pig and chicken farming companies, so as to guarantee the health of animals and the safety of products and create remarkable social and economic profits.
Professor Wang Hongning won the Second Prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology twice, and Provincial Prize for Progress in Science and Technology for five times. As the first author or corresponding author, she has published 117 SCI papers in JAC, AAC, Vaccine, and so on. As a chief editor, she had edited 3 works such as Diseases of Poultry Respiratory System. In 2017, she was nominated the validly candidate of Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. -
